About Slately

Slately Studios is one person: me, Dan.

I build websites for shops across metro San Diego, and I like the work more than is probably healthy. I come to your shop, learn what makes it yours, and build a site that sounds like you. One person to call from first visit to launch day. No account managers, no ticket numbers. Quality comes first, at a price that fits a small business.

Questions owners ask

Is the homepage review really free?

Yes, really. It is a 20-minute phone call. I look at your homepage on a phone first, then show you what I would change and why.

How long does it take?

About three weeks from your deposit to launch. The biggest factor is how fast your photos and answers come in, so it is partly up to you.

What happens after I say yes?

We do a 20-minute interview, and I write your words for you to approve. Then you review your site on a private link before it goes live.

How do I give feedback and ask for changes?

Send one list of changes per round. One list beats forty texts. Essentials includes one round, Standard two and Pro three.

How does payment work?

Half to start and half before launch. Your site goes live once it is paid in full. Paying it all up front by cash, check or Zelle takes 10% off.

Do you have a deal right now?

My first three clients get 25% off any website. In return, they give an honest testimonial, before-and-after rights and two introductions.

What do you own when it is done?

Nothing. The keys are yours. Your domain, your site's code and every account are in your name from day one. Your only running cost is the domain.

Do you work with businesses near me?

Yes. I serve all of metro San Diego, and I come to you.

Still scrolling? Good sign.

Fair prices and a personal touch, without sacrificing quality.
